Itinerary

Welcome to the Rio Grande Valley Bird & Wildlife Workshop, a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty of Rio Grande City, Texas. From June 1–6, 2027, you'll be guided by expert instructors through a rich itinerary designed to enhance your photography skills while experiencing the vibrant wildlife of this remarkable region. Your journey begins with a warm welcome dinner and meet-and-greet orientation on the first evening. This is a wonderful chance to connect with fellow participants and meet your instructors, setting the stage for the days ahead. Each morning starts with a hearty breakfast, preparing you for capturing the magical sunrise light in the field. After a morning of shooting, we'll gather for lunch, followed by an engaging classroom session where you'll receive constructive critiques and discuss techniques to elevate your work. As the day winds down, we'll head back out for an evening shoot to capture the breathtaking sunset light, concluding with a delightful dinner where you can share your experiences and reflections from the day. This rhythm repeats for the duration of the workshop, ensuring a balanced mix of fieldwork and instructional time. On the final morning, we'll enjoy a farewell breakfast, offering a chance to exchange contact information and say goodbye to new friends.
